Electrical Technician

About the role

The Electrical Technician will ensure reliable operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems in the fabrication workshop, including CNC machines, heat treatment furnaces, welding equipment, and heavy machinery. The role focuses on minimizing downtime while maintaining safe and efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on workshop electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in CNC machines, heat treatment furnaces, welding machines, and other fabrication equipment.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical panels, MCCs, transformers, and power distribution systems.
• Execute wiring, termination, cable routing, and installation of electrical components, ensuring proper earthing and protection.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical/control issues in CNC machines (VTL, HBM), including drives, motors, encoders, sensors, limit switches, and control circuits.
• Operate and maintain electrical systems of heat treatment furnaces, monitoring temperature control systems, thermocouples, heating elements, and control panels.
• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Follow electrical safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and use appropriate PPE.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical course in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within heavy fabrication, steel, or manufacturing environments.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC machines and heat treatment furnaces.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with ability to handle high‑pressure breakdown situations.
• High safety awareness and disciplined work habits.
