Electrical Technician – Plant Maintenance

About the role

The Electrical Technician will work under the supervision of the Electrical Supervisor/Engineer to perform preventive, corrective and condition‑based maintenance on plant equipment at the Afif site. The role requires strict adherence to safety procedures and accurate documentation of maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive, corrective and outage maintenance on static and rotating electrical equipment in power and desalination plants.
• Ensure proper isolation, lockout/tag‑out and safety compliance before starting any work.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and repair equipment using electrical drawings, wiring and protection diagrams.
• Document maintenance history, report spare‑part needs and maintain 5S housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent skilled labor experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role within NOMAC plants or comparable power/desalination facilities.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights and around chemicals.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and protection schematics.
• Knowledge of lockout/tag‑out procedures and safe work practices.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of 5S housekeeping.
