Electrician

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Electrician to inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul electromechanical equipment in a high‑speed, high‑volume industrial environment. The role involves working safely with high‑voltage systems, PLCs and electronic equipment while following national and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul electromechanical equipment using electrical test equipment, meters and tools.
• Install new electrical and electronic equipment and wiring in compliance with the National Electrical Code and company standards.
• Perform high‑voltage switching and operate plant switchgear.
• Lead work parties, ensure proper lockout/tag‑out procedures, and apply 5S principles in the workshop.
• Comply with all applicable codes, safety, environmental regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Electrical diploma (minimum 3 years of education).
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance and high‑voltage work.
• Strong planning, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques such as SMED, Kaizen, 5S, TPM and Six Sigma.

Required skills

• High voltage switching.

• Allen Bradley HMI programming and troubleshooting.
• General troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems.
