Emergency Physician

About the role

The Emergency Physician provides comprehensive assessment and management of patients presenting to the Fakeeh Care Emergency Department. Working in a fast‑paced environment, the physician delivers evidence‑based care, documents all actions in the electronic medical record and ensures seamless coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans following Fakeeh Care standards.
• Document assessments, interventions, and education in the EMR promptly and accurately.
• Act as the Most Responsible Physician for each ED patient until admission or transfer.
• Order and coordinate medical consultations, radiology, and laboratory investigations.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and follow‑up care.
• Respond to departmental calls, attend staff meetings, and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Lead the ED team during shifts, enforce protocols, manage escalations, and maintain optimal patient flow.
• Prepare medical reports and participate in teaching activities as required.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent qualification in Emergency Medicine.
• Current clinical privileges to practice in an emergency department.
• Strong commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and team coordination.
• Ability to work under pressure and make timely clinical decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Knowledge of emergency department protocols, triage, and rapid assessment.
• Familiarity with ordering and interpreting radiology and laboratory tests.
