End User Computing Analyst

About the role

The End User Computing Analyst provides technical support to faculty, staff and departments at KAUST, ensuring reliable operation of desktops, laptops, peripherals and related systems. The role involves diagnosing, resolving and preventing hardware and software issues while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, diagnose and resolve hardware, software and peripheral issues across university‑supported devices.
• Install, configure and maintain personal computers, operating systems and related equipment in line with KAUST standards.
• Provide integrated hardware/software troubleshooting, including system conflicts, failures and configuration issues.
• Maintain and track IT assets, manage software licensing compliance and document incidents in the service management system.
• Lead small‑scale technical projects, mentor junior technicians and coordinate with the Help Desk for consistent request handling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience delivering end‑user support in a professional IT environment, preferably in higher education or large enterprises.
• Experience leading small technical projects and mentoring junior staff.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Windows and macOS remote support tools.
• Device deployment solutions for Windows and macOS.
• Directory services such as Active Directory or Open Directory.
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems.
