Endocrinology Registrar (Physician)

About the role

The Endocrinology Registrar provides specialised care for patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders through both virtual and in‑person clinics. Working under consultant supervision, the role blends clinical expertise with digital health tools to ensure safe, efficient, and patient‑centred treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct virtual and face‑to‑face consultations for acute, chronic and complex endocrine conditions.
• Utilise telehealth tools (video, phone, secure messaging) to assess, diagnose and manage patients.
• Develop personalised treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle advice and specialist referrals.
• Monitor treatment adherence, clinical outcomes and adjust management plans as needed.
• Document all clinical findings, diagnoses and treatment plans accurately in the EHR.
• Ensure compliance with medical regulations, ethical guidelines and telehealth governance.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits and incident reporting.
• Maintain proficiency with the telehealth platform and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses and allied health professionals.

Required profile

• Physician in advanced training (Registrar) with a medical licence.
• Ability to work under consultant supervision while delivering independent clinical care.
• Commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with telehealth platforms (video conferencing, secure messaging).
• Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of telehealth regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Clinical expertise in managing diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis and other endocrine diseases.
