Engineer I – Maintenance

About the role

The Engineer I will support the hotel’s facilities by responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently. This full‑time, onsite position is based in the Central Area District North of Al Masjid Al Nabawi, Madinah.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions promptly.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning, lubrication and visual inspections.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Perform basic repairs and troubleshooting on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, painting, drywall and landscaping systems.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Program televisions, update HVAC schedules and adjust temperature settings via computer interfaces.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and follow safety and security policies.
• Physical capability to lift, carry or move objects up to 50 lb.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills with guests and team members.
