Engineering Supervisor – Facilities Maintenance

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of all hotel equipment, tools and safety systems. This role combines hands‑on maintenance work with leadership of a small technical team to deliver high‑quality guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on appliances, equipment, fire‑pump and generator systems, and calibrate gauges, meters and controls.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves, alarm systems and conduct life‑safety checklists, including fire‑pump and generator run tests.
• Manage inventory, order parts, maintain purchase‑order logs and ensure proper stock levels.
• Operate power lifts and other mechanical equipment safely while adhering to safety policies.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching technical staff.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of related engineering or maintenance experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Preventative maintenance techniques.
• Calibration of controls, gauges and meters.
• Operation of power lifts and heavy‑equipment handling.
• Fire‑pump and generator testing procedures.
• Inspection of fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
