Engineering Supervisor

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor will lead the daily operations of the engineering team at FAENA The Red Sea, a luxury hotel project in Saudi Arabia. This role ensures that all building systems are maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the engineering team’s daily activities, assigning maintenance tasks and monitoring their completion.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, back‑of‑house spaces, plant rooms, equipment and overall hotel facilities.
• Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programmes according to established schedules.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, operational issues and emergency situations, troubleshooting technical problems as needed.
• Monitor the condition and operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other building systems.
• Ensure all engineering work complies with safety procedures, hotel standards and relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs and equipment servicing.
• Manage tools, equipment, spare parts and engineering supplies, reporting replenishment requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors and external service providers, monitoring the quality of completed work.
• Support energy‑conservation and sustainability initiatives within the engineering department.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical qualification in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC or a related field.
• Previous experience in engineering or maintenance within the hospitality industry or a similar environment.
• Supervisory or team‑leading experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel building systems, preventive maintenance and general maintenance practices.
• Understanding of health, safety and engineering standards and procedures.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and shifts as required.
