Engineering Technician – Electrician

About the role

The Engineering Technician – Electrician ensures safe, reliable and efficient operation of all electrical systems that support guest comfort and critical hotel operations. Working in a multicultural team, you will provide proactive maintenance, rapid fault resolution and support across guest rooms, villas, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot MDB, SMDB, DB panels, wiring, lighting and power distribution to guarantee uninterrupted power supply.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules and carry out corrective repairs, keeping detailed records of activities and system performance.
• Support hygiene and HACCP compliance by ensuring safe electrical supply to kitchens, cold rooms and laundry areas.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, respond to power failures, short circuits, equipment breakdowns and support fire‑life safety and emergency lighting systems.
• Work flexible day, afternoon and night shifts to sustain critical operations during off‑peak hours.
• Document incidents, generate reports and provide temporary coverage for other engineering roles as needed.
• Participate in annual performance reviews and continuously improve safety, efficiency and compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI certification in Electrical Trade.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in resorts or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and safety/emergency procedures.
• Good communication skills in English.
