Engineering Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our hospitality team on Ummahat Island, Red Sea. In this full‑time position you will ensure guest rooms and public areas remain functional and safe by handling repair requests and performing routine maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest repair requests and communicate solutions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment and mechanical systems, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, machinery and hotel assets to identify wear or damage.
• Locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment as needed.
• Maintain the maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and record unfinished calls before shift changes.
• Follow all company safety, security and environmental policies, reporting hazards or incidents.
• Provide courteous guest service, welcome guests, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and moving objects up to 50 lb, and working on stairs, ramps or ladders.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum two years of relevant maintenance or engineering experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work independently, follow procedures and maintain confidentiality.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, twist and reach as described.
