Environmental Officer

About the role

The Environmental Officer will support UCC Holding’s projects, yards and facilities by implementing and monitoring environmental management plans, ensuring compliance with international standards and promoting sustainable development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project‑specific Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and HSE strategies.
• Conduct Environment Aspects and Impacts Analyses for all sites.
• Monitor operational impacts on air, water, soil, noise, dust and waste, and propose mitigation measures.
• Identify environmental risks, design adaptive management strategies and ensure continuous improvement.
• Provide HSE training, environmental awareness sessions and support ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301 compliance.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for positive environmental enhancements.
• Liaise with local, regional and international stakeholders to stay updated on best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years (72 months) of experience in environmental management or HSE.
• Proven experience implementing EMPs and conducting impact analyses.
• Familiarity with international standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22301.
• Ability to develop training programmes and lead HSE initiatives.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
