Facilities Manager – Maintenance & Engineering (MENA)

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead maintenance and engineering activities for its operations in the MENA region. The role ensures high equipment availability, safety compliance, and effective teamwork across a 24/7 fulfillment center.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of Facilities and Service Technicians.
• Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs for all facility equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate activity records.
• Manage third‑party contractors and oversee local construction and renovation projects.
• Provide on‑call support for emergencies and work shifts to stay connected with the team.
• Develop training plans, monitor budgets and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong safety focus with experience training and developing technical teams.
• Proven ability to identify root causes, implement corrective actions and manage budgets.
• Experience supervising facilities operations in a fast‑paced, 24/7 environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.

Required skills

• Power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, wiring methods.
• Photo‑eye components, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers.
• Servo drives, frequency inverters and related troubleshooting.
• Preventive maintenance program development and execution.
