Family Medicine Consultant

About the role

The Consultant in Family Medicine will be responsible for delivering high‑quality clinical care, diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, and ensuring patient safety within the hospital’s standards. The role also includes teaching, research, and participation in departmental administration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care and management in Family Medicine, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up in accordance with hospital standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support services to ensure timely and appropriate medical care, and oversee patient preparation for procedures and surgeries.
• Guide and mentor junior staff, residents, and fellows, and actively participate in teaching, departmental training programs, and national/international conferences.
• Engage in clinical, basic, and translational research projects, and contribute to departmental committees and administrative duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited medical school with Arab or American Board certification (or equivalent UK/Canada membership/fellowship).
• Minimum seven years of specialty or subspecialty training and postgraduate experience.
