Female Private English Tutor for KS3 & KS4

About the role

A private family in Riyadh is seeking a qualified female English tutor to provide full‑time, one‑to‑one support for a student in Key Stages 3 and 4. The tutor will deliver personalised lessons aligned with the British curriculum, helping the learner build confidence, independence, and exam readiness for GCSE or IGCSE.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality English Language and Literature lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Support reading, writing, analysis, grammar, vocabulary and exam technique.
• Prepare the student for GCSE/IGCSE assessments and monitor progress.
• Identify weaknesses and create targeted intervention plans.
• Develop confidence, motivation, organisation and independent study skills.
• Set appropriate assignments, revision tasks and extension work.
• Maintain accurate records of lesson content, progress and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with the family about academic development.
• Collaborate with other educators, tutors or advisers as needed.
• Provide continuity of learning during holidays, exams and family travel.

Required profile

• Experienced English teacher with strong knowledge of the British curriculum.
• Proven ability to teach students aged 11‑16 and familiarity with GCSE/IGCSE specifications.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, patient, encouraging teaching style.
• Professional maturity, discretion and sound judgement.
• Flexible, collaborative approach to working with a private household.

Required skills

• Deep subject knowledge of English Language and Literature.
