Field Compliance Coordinator - Drilling Safety & Environment

About the role

Eram Talent, a talent acquisition consultancy, is recruiting a Field Compliance Coordinator specialising in Drilling Safety and Environment for a client in the oil and gas sector. The role acts as the UR Operations Excellence & Compliance Division Field HSE Advisor and EMS focal point, reporting to the Group Lead and supporting field and office activities with environmental, health and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily environmental activities, environmental release events and E&OH audits and inspections
• Review and sign off on annual environmental objectives and action plans, and report monthly training compliance updates to the Group Lead
• Report new or changed processes with environmental impact to the unit
• Carry out EMS assessments and E&OH inspections (ECAs, OHHAs, CEHAs, RPAs, NORM surveys, EH surveys)
• Produce non-compliance reports and monitor environmental emergency drills
• Track daily environmental data such as flaring, SO2, greenhouse gas emissions, water conservation and energy
• Advise the unit on environmental risk management and mitigation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, HSE, science, industrial or a related field; a Master's in Environment is preferable
• At least 10 years of experience in environmental compliance for drilling and completion operations
• High level of environmental management skills with oil and gas expertise
• English able to read, write, speak and communicate technical concepts to non-technical people

Required skills

• Certification or field experience in environmental management systems, preferably ISO 14001 internal/lead auditor
• Knowledge of air mitigation, hazardous waste, GHG, water/wastewater, NORM/radioactive, spill and noise control
• Ability to write reports and deliver environmental awareness training
• Computer application skills
