Field Engineer – Lighting and AV

About the role

AECOM is looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Field Engineer for lighting and audio-visual (AV) systems in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot lighting and AV systems for various projects and events, working in fast-paced environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and test lighting systems including LED fixtures, conventional lighting and moving light equipment
• Set up and integrate AV systems such as projection, audio equipment and control systems
• Perform on-site troubleshooting and technical support to resolve system issues
• Carry out routine maintenance and inspections of lighting and AV equipment
• Coordinate with project managers, clients and vendors to understand technical requirements
• Ensure installations comply with safety regulations, industry standards and local requirements
• Document system configurations, technical specifications and maintenance activities
• Assist in planning and executing complex installations for events, venues and corporate environments
• Travel to project sites as needed and maintain inventory records and equipment logs

Required profile

• 10 years of professional experience in field engineering, lighting installation or AV systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to travel and work on-site at various locations
• Preferred: project management experience, experience with multiple AV platforms and control systems, knowledge of live event production or venue management, and experience with documentation and technical reporting systems
