Field Service Engineer – Diagnostic & Biosciences

About the role

The Field Service Engineer will join BD's technical team to support diagnostic and biosciences instruments across the Central and Northern regions of Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality on‑site service, ensuring customer satisfaction and rapid resolution of incidents. You will work closely with distributors and customers to keep laboratory equipment running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent on‑site technical support in line with SLAs, including installations, relocations, IQ/OQ certifications and repairs.
• Deliver advanced remote diagnostics and troubleshooting for issues beyond the help desk.
• Lead and mentor distributor service teams to achieve service excellence.
• Plan and execute corrective and preventive maintenance, upgrades and compliance activities.
• Explain service contract options, coverage and pricing to customers.
• Conduct pre‑installation site assessments and ensure all requirements are met.
• Maintain compliance with quality, ISO, GMP and safety standards.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience servicing IVD laboratory diagnostics equipment, preferably flow cytometry instruments.
• Proven expertise in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of flow cytometry systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for effective customer interaction.
• Team‑player who can manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
