Field Service Engineer

About the role

The Field Service Engineer will support end‑to‑end outage management for an assigned power plant, delivering cost‑effective, high‑quality services that enhance long‑term asset reliability while optimizing resources and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in pre‑outage planning, including scope definition, resource sizing, spare‑part logistics and QA planning up to 18 months ahead.
• Conduct detailed pre‑outage studies of equipment history, OEM recommendations, layouts and failure root causes to ensure accurate execution plans.
• Monitor daily outage progress, manage stakeholders and service providers, and ensure compliance with work‑control, HSSE and quality standards.
• Coordinate issuance of spare parts, consumables, tools, permits and work authorisations before execution begins.
• Update schedules, attend coordination meetings, produce daily/weekly performance reports and oversee quality inspections.
• Develop the final outage report summarising preparation, execution, statistics, lessons learned and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of operations and maintenance experience in large power plants, including at least one full turbine outage.
• Proven experience in outage execution, preferably with OEM involvement.
• Behavioural traits: achievement‑oriented, team player, able to work across cultures and lead on‑site activities.
