Field Service Engineer – Saudi National

About the role

Giesecke+Devrient Ventures is seeking a Saudi national to provide onsite technical support for Banknote Processing Systems installed at customer sites across Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on ensuring high‑quality service delivery, maintaining strong relationships with operational teams, and applying technical expertise to keep equipment running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on banknote processing equipment and peripheral devices.
• Install, commission, and upgrade G+D products according to project specifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic, electromechanical, and hydraulic components, including sensors, motors, PLCs, drives, CAN bus and Profinet networks.
• Maintain mechanical parts such as rollers, conveyors, belts, and bearings, ensuring optimal performance.
• Execute software backups, system upgrades, and document all service activities and spare‑part usage.
• Provide first‑ and second‑level technical support via telephone and on‑site, escalating complex issues to third‑level support when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum three years (36 months) of experience in field service or maintenance of electromechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently on customer premises and communicate effectively with operational teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail in fault diagnosis and documentation.
