Field Service Engineer – South Baha, Saudi Arabia

About the role

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for delivering on‑site service, maintenance and installation of medical equipment for customers in the South Baha region of Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with doctors, technicians and the internal sales team to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all assigned equipment models.
• Conduct system‑level troubleshooting of complex multi‑symptom issues.
• Install and commission complex, multifunctional rooms and equipment.
• Complete field maintenance inspections (FMI) and preventive maintenance service (PMS) documentation on time.
• Control warranty and PMS contract costs while managing material consumption.
• Provide daily technical support to doctors and technicians, addressing equipment status and performance.
• Identify sales opportunities and communicate them to the account team.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and GE Service Quality policies.

Required profile

• Ability to perform installation, preventive maintenance, FMIs and corrective repairs on trained medical products.
• Strong focus on first‑visit resolution and root‑cause analysis.
• Willingness to be on‑call according to customer contracts.
• Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to QA/EHS training requirements.

Required skills

• System‑level troubleshooting of medical equipment.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Field Maintenance Inspection (FMI) procedures.
• Installation of complex medical devices and multifunctional rooms.
• Use of digital productivity tools (e.g., Smart PM, on‑watch alerts).
• Warranty and contract cost control.
• Compliance with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
