Field Support Specialist (Freelance / Dispatch)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Field Support Specialist to provide on‑site IT assistance on a freelance or dispatch basis. The role supports end‑users when full‑time engineers are unavailable, ensuring business continuity across desktops, laptops, printers and meeting‑room technology.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site support for desktops, laptops, Macs and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure and maintain hardware and software according to company standards.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities and system imaging for PCs and laptops.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, including break‑fix and compliance/security tools.
• Coordinate repairs and replacements with OEMs and vendors.
• Manage IT inventory, asset tracking and documentation.
• Set up and support printers, network printers and AV equipment in conference rooms.
• Provide high‑touch VIP/end‑user support and adhere to SLA commitments.
• Assist with Office 365 account issues and after‑hours events as needed.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing inventory and coordinating with vendors.
