Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Manager to build and lead the finance function of Qanoniah, Saudi Arabia’s leading AI LegalTech startup. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the full accounting cycle, develop financial models, and support fundraising while establishing the team that will scale with the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the finance and accounting function from the ground up, including policies, systems, and workflows.
• Manage full‑cycle accounting: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month‑end/year‑end closing under IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations such as ZATCA (VAT, e‑invoicing/Fatoora), GOSI, Mudad, and WPS.
• Build and maintain financial models, budgets, forecasts, and cash‑flow/run‑way planning.
• Track and report SaaS metrics including ARR, MRR, revenue recognition, churn, CAC and LTV.
• Prepare investor‑ready financial statements and data rooms to support fundraising and due diligence.
• Recruit, train, and eventually lead an accounting team as the company grows.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of combined accounting and finance experience.
• Hands‑on accounting expertise together with strategic finance skills such as modeling and budgeting.
• Experience as the first finance hire or building a finance function in a startup or SME.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi regulations (ZATCA, GOSI, labor‑law payroll).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and SOCPA membership.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Makkah.

• Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Odoo or NetSuite ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
• IFRS accounting standards.
• ZATCA VAT and e‑invoicing compliance.
• GOSI, Mudad and WPS payroll compliance.
• SaaS financial metrics (ARR, MRR, revenue recognition, churn, CAC, LTV).
