Franchise Head - Respiratory & Immunology

About the role

AstraZeneca is hiring a Franchise Head for Respiratory and Immunology (R&I) in Central Riyadh. The role covers marketing and sales of the specified disease area, leads a team of sales and marketing managers and drives the commercial strategy for the products in the therapy area.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for marketing and sales of the specified disease area to support company objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies to transform the treatment of diseases in the therapy area.
• Lead a team of sales and marketing managers to achieve brand business objectives and identify opportunities and issues.
• Lead the commercial strategy for the specified products at AstraZeneca Saudi Arabia.
• Define brand priorities through the cross-functional brand plan process, considering company alliances and SOPs.
• Drive innovation and digitalization across marketing channels.
• Maintain relationships with KOLs and HCOs aligned with global and international projects.
• Ensure effective product communication, promotional support and marketing plan implementation to reach sales objectives, margins and profits.
• Analyse the market (scenarios, trends, competitors) and monitor product perception.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a franchise manager or equivalent in a multinational pharmaceutical company (combined sales and marketing).
• Experience in both sales and marketing for respiratory and immunology preferred, or another relevant specialty.
• Launch experience is a must.
• Pharmacy or medical background is a must.
• For internal candidates: more than 1 year on the current role at AstraZeneca KSA, demonstrated growth in talent reviews, and at least one major product or indication launch led.
