General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the group’s financial records across all entities. This role combines core ledger management with project finance, banking liaison, and collections responsibilities, supporting both standalone and consolidated reporting under IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and period‑end adjustments in line with IFRS.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual close activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and inter‑company eliminations.
• Manage chart‑of‑accounts structure and ensure consistent coding across business units.
• Set up and monitor project cost centres, analyse profitability and revenue recognition per IFRS 15, and prepare billing schedules.
• Act as the primary contact for banking partners, oversee bank reconciliations, facilities, letters of credit and treasury monitoring.
• Own the accounts‑receivable ledger, drive collections, and produce performance reports for senior leadership.
• Leverage Zoho Books and other ERP platforms to automate workflows and generate financial dashboards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in general ledger accounting and financial close processes.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
• Experience with project finance, cost‑centre tracking and profitability analysis.
• Familiarity with banking, treasury operations and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience in accounts‑receivable management and collection processes.
