Generalist Accountant

About the role

The Generalist Accountant will manage receivables and payables, post transactions in Microsoft Business Central, and maintain income statement and balance sheet schedules. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role supports month‑end, year‑end close processes and tax filings.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely vendor payments and collection of receivables.
• Prepare and publish monthly financial statements and support budget, forecast and variance reporting.
• Maintain the general ledger, perform reconciliations and assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Support tax (VAT, withholding, corporate income) and zakat filings, preparing schedules and documentation.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to accounting operations.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles with accurate work delivery.
• Experience with accounting and finance systems, especially Excel and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Understanding of internal control concepts and a focus on continuous process improvement.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and effective communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across a diverse, multi‑functional finance team.
