General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will ensure the integrity of the club’s financial records by accurately recording all transactions in the General Ledger. This role supports month‑end and year‑end closing, reconciliations, reporting and compliance with IFRS and club policies.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain all General Ledger transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and adjustments.
• Perform monthly closing activities and meet deadlines.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, investigate variances and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Handle intercompany and related‑party transaction reconciliations.
• Support preparation of management reports and financial statements.
• Assist with annual external and internal audit requirements.
• Maintain fixed‑asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT, ZATCA and internal financial policies.
• Validate Oracle ERP transactions and maintain data integrity.
• Coordinate with AP, AR, payroll, procurement and other departments to resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain supporting documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3‑5 years of experience as a General Ledger Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi tax regulations (VAT, ZATCA).
• Proven ability to work under tight month‑end deadlines.

Required skills

• Oracle ERP (transaction validation and data integrity).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
