General Ledger Manager

About the role

The General Ledger Manager will oversee the General Ledger function, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month‑end closing, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role works closely with the Finance Director and other finance teams to deliver reliable financial reporting and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the General Ledger and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
• Monitor balance‑sheet accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and other finance functions.
• Support preparation of financial statements, management reports, and liaise with external auditors.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
• Lead, support, and develop the General Ledger team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8–15 years of relevant accounting experience, including prior General Ledger or financial accounting management roles.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
