Head of Finance

About the role

This senior leadership position is based in Saudi Arabia and will build a modern Finance function for a fast‑growing international payments company. You will own end‑to‑end financial reporting, control, budgeting, cash‑flow planning and process automation while partnering with Data, Development, Treasury and executive teams.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and own management reporting – P&L, cash‑flow statement, balance sheet, plan‑vs‑actual and profitability analysis across products, merchants and legal entities.
• Design, run and continuously improve the budgeting and forecasting cycle, including operating budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and scenario planning.
• Implement a robust financial control framework covering reconciliations, discrepancy classification, resolution SLAs, approval workflows and audit trails.
• Manage merchant settlements, fee calculations, refunds, chargebacks, FX conversions and balance transfers.
• Oversee finance across multiple legal entities, currencies and inter‑company transactions, delivering consolidated reporting and supporting statutory accounting and external audits.
• Define financial automation requirements, KPIs, formulas and data sources for dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with data analysts, engineers and developers to validate outputs, resolve discrepancies and prioritize automation initiatives.
• Lead, structure and develop the Finance team, setting responsibilities, hiring as needed and driving continuous improvement.
• Report financial performance, risks and insights to the CEO, founders and senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience in a data‑driven, international environment.
• Track record of building and transforming finance functions, including automation and process optimisation.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn complex financial data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, especially with data, technology and treasury teams.
