Head of Installation, Commissioning & Warranty

About the role

As Head of Installation, Commissioning & Warranty (ICW) you will lead a global organization responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of installation, commissioning and warranty activities across all regions. Reporting to the VP Global Project Management, you will shape a globally aligned operating model and drive the transformation and harmonisation of ICW execution from project hand‑over through to warranty closure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the worldwide ICW organisation, providing direct leadership and functional guidance to regional entities.
• Establish global governance, aligned execution standards and clear priorities for all ICW units.
• Ensure excellence in installation, commissioning and warranty execution, covering contractual, technical and commercial compliance.
• Integrate Sales & Execution Support globally, delivering robust bid support, cost estimation, execution strategy, schedule planning, resource allocation and risk‑opportunity management.
• Define and implement a standardised global ICW operating model, including processes, tools, KPIs and reporting structures.
• Oversee global field‑service and commissioning resource planning, workforce and competency development.
• Act as senior escalation partner for customers and internal stakeholders, driving lessons learned, CAPA and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable field.
• More than 10 years of experience in installation & commissioning, warranty field service or project execution.
• Proven leadership in global, regional and matrix organisations.
• Strong technical understanding of rotating equipment and related systems.
• Solid commercial, contractual and project‑execution know‑how.
• Excellent communication, customer orientation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English; additional regional language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
