Head of Transport Operations

About the role

Sela, a Public Investment Fund company driving world‑class entertainment and mega‑events in Saudi Arabia, is seeking an internationally proven Head of Transport Operations. You will join the inaugural team responsible for designing and delivering the complete mobility master plan for a high‑profile, city‑scale event.

Key responsibilities

• Architect the Transport Master Plan, covering pedestrian flow, last‑mile transit, shuttle networks, micro‑mobility and emergency routing.
• Define market service models by engaging smart‑mobility providers, autonomous‑vehicle vendors and fleet operators.
• Lead demand and capacity modelling to predict crowd arrival/departure peaks and optimise venue entry points.
• Act as the primary transport liaison with KSA public‑sector authorities, including the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Ministry of Transport and Riyadh Metro.
• Coordinate VVIP and delegation protocols with embassies, ministries and security forces.
• Recruit, structure and up‑skill a world‑class transport management team capable of scaling to thousands of drivers.
• Oversee operational readiness, peak‑day delivery and continuous performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Proven leadership of multi‑modal transport planning and fleet logistics for tier‑1 mega‑events (World Expos, Olympic Games, FIFA World Cups, etc.).
• Experience designing transport strategies from scratch for high‑density cultural or sporting festivals.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with government agencies and international partners.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead large, high‑performing transport teams.
• Excellent analytical and modelling capabilities.
