Head Technician – Dive Equipment Management

About the role

The Head Technician is responsible for the operational readiness, safety and reliability of all dive‑related equipment at the dive centre. Reporting to the Manager – Dive Operation, you will lead technical management, inspection, servicing and repair of dive gear, compressors and cylinders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day technical management of diving equipment, including inspection, testing, servicing, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Support pre‑opening activities: set up and commission dive centre equipment, coordinate with RSG departments and establish maintenance schedules and inventory controls.
• Maintain accurate inventory of dive equipment, tools, spare parts and technical assets, and keep detailed records of inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer recommendations, local regulations, company standards and safety, quality and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Recognised dive equipment servicing certification (e.g., PADI Equipment Specialist, PSI‑PCI Visual Cylinder Inspector).
• Certified breathing‑air compressor technician (e.g., Bauer Compressor Technician) and cylinder technician.
• Proven experience servicing, maintaining and repairing dive equipment, compressors and cylinders.
• Valid Fit‑to‑Dive medical certification and strong knowledge of diving health, safety and environmental requirements.

• PSI‑PCI Visual Cylinder Inspector certification
• Bauer or Coltri compressor technician certification
• Microsoft Office proficiency for maintenance and inventory record‑keeping
