Heat Exchanger Technician

About the role

The Heat Exchanger Technician is responsible for fabricating, assembling, testing and maintaining heat exchangers in a manufacturing environment. The role ensures compliance with quality, design and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and install heat exchangers according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Operate and maintain welding, bending and cutting equipment.
• Inspect and test components to verify quality and safety compliance.
• Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on heat‑exchanger units.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of processes, materials and test results.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in heat‑exchanger fabrication, pressure‑vessel manufacturing or similar.
• Hands‑on experience with welding (TIG, MIG, SMAW) and metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of pressure testing, non‑destructive testing (NDT) and quality‑control processes.
• Familiarity with ASME, API or equivalent fabrication standards.
