Home Lab Phlebotomist

About the role

My Clinic KSA is seeking a Home Lab Phlebotomist to collect blood and other specimens from patients in a home setting. You will be responsible for accurate sample collection, labeling, and safe transport to the laboratory while providing courteous, empathetic care.

Key responsibilities

• Identify patients correctly by confirming full name and matching requisition details.
• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures following established laboratory protocols.
• Label all specimens accurately with patient information, date/time, and collector initials.
• Instruct patients on proper urine collection techniques for specific tests.
• Process and complete all laboratory requisition forms and logs.
• Maintain and restock specimen collection equipment and supplies.
• Adhere to laboratory safety rules and report hazards to the Head Nurse.
• Communicate with team members regarding difficult draws or timed specimens.
• Organize work efficiently, report for scheduled shifts, and be flexible to cover additional shifts as needed.
• Greet patients courteously, showing empathy and professionalism.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years (24 months) of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with patients of all ages.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and travel to patient homes.
• Commitment to laboratory safety and infection control standards.
