Homeroom Teacher (Junior School KG1‑Grade 3)

About the role

The Homeroom Teacher will be responsible for delivering high‑quality education to children aged 3‑9 in a junior school setting, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high quality teaching and learning in line with the Misk curriculum and local requirements.
• Establish a safe and stimulating environment for students and oversee their welfare and safeguarding.
• Plan, prepare and deliver schemes of work, maintain records of progress and produce reports.
• Conduct parent interviews, monitor attendance, rewards and sanctions, and provide pastoral support.
• Supervise students during registration, assemblies, playtime and other non‑class times.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (essential) and Qualified Teacher Status (essential).
• At least 1 year of relevant post‑qualification teaching experience.
• Understanding of high‑quality teaching, assessment and ability to differentiate instruction.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Ability to use approved digital technology tools for teaching and record‑keeping.
