About the role

The HR Business Partner for Saudi Arabia will be the on‑ground custodian of HR strategy and execution for Sharaf DG. Reporting to the Country Manager – KSA, the role will align local HR practices with group policies while supporting business growth, workforce planning and organizational effectiveness across the retail network.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as strategic advisor to the Country Manager on organization design, workforce planning and people strategy, translating expansion plans into HR actions.
  • Lead end‑to‑end talent acquisition for stores, regional roles and support functions, ensuring compliance with Saudization (Nitaqat) and local hiring regulations.
  • Own the full employee lifecycle – onboarding, confirmations, transfers, promotions and exits – maintaining accurate contracts and records in line with Saudi labour law.
  • Manage payroll inputs, benefits administration and HR vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi labour law, GOSI, Qiwa, Muqeem, Mudad and other statutory requirements; handle government inspections and audits.
  • Drive performance management cycles, support goal setting, reviews, disciplinary actions and coordinate compensation and rewards with the UAE COE.
  • Identify capability gaps, coordinate learning interventions and support leadership development and succession planning.
  • Build and lead the local HR team, designing operating models for multiple regions such as Riyadh and Jeddah.

Required profile

  • Strong expertise in Saudi labour legislation and retail HR operations.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior business leaders and driving HR strategy in a fast‑growing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large‑scale recruitment, Saudization compliance and workforce planning.
  • Experience overseeing employee lifecycle processes, payroll coordination and HR vendor management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and geographies.
