HSE Coordinator – Health, Safety & Environmental

About the role

Parsons is seeking an HSE Coordinator to support the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements across its Saudi Arabian project sites. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will work closely with construction teams, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the rollout of the Project HSE Plan, procedures and site safety requirements.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections and safety walks under senior HSE guidance.
• Identify unsafe acts, conditions, hazards and potential risks and report them promptly.
• Monitor compliance with approved Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA/JHA) and Method Statements.
• Ensure workers follow established safe work practices and control measures.
• Support Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) processes for high‑risk activities such as work at height, excavation, lifting, hot work, confined spaces, electrical work and equipment operations.
• Assist with airport/airside safety requirements where applicable.
• Verify proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain housekeeping, access, barricading, signage, lighting and overall site safety conditions.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of HSE experience in construction or related environments.
• Relevant certifications such as IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH IGC, OSHA safety training, ISO 45001 awareness and First Aid/CPR.
• Ability to conduct inspections, risk assessments and incident reporting.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, permit‑to‑work systems and high‑risk activity controls.
