HSE Inspector – Civil Engineering (Saudi National)

About the role

WSP is looking for a highly skilled HSE Inspector with a civil engineering background to lead health, safety and environmental programs on infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role is dedicated to a Saudi national and focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering a safety‑first culture, and mitigating project risks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and audits of sites, facilities, equipment and processes to identify hazards.
• Assess and prioritize risks, implementing corrective actions based on severity.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and other relevant health‑safety regulations.
• Develop, implement and enforce safety policies, procedures and programs.
• Deliver training and education on safety practices to all employees.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Facilitate safety committee meetings and collaborate with management to address concerns.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, incidents, corrective actions and training activities.

Required profile

• Saudi nationality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certifications such as CSP or OHST are advantageous.
• Minimum 7 + years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably on infrastructure projects.
• In‑depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA and other relevant regulations.
