HSE Supervisor – Saudi National (Transport Infrastructure)

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced HSE Supervisor to join the consultancy team on a major transport infrastructure, roads and utilities project in Madinah. The role focuses on monitoring and promoting health, safety and environmental compliance across all construction activities on site.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor contractor compliance with project HSE requirements, Saudi regulations and approved safety plans.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits and safety observations for road and utilities works.
• Identify unsafe acts/conditions and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
• Review risk assessments, method statements, permit‑to‑work systems and emergency response procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and recommend preventive measures.
• Track environmental management compliance and sustainability objectives.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports and statistics for project management.
• Support toolbox talks, safety campaigns and site briefings.
• Coordinate with construction supervision teams to embed HSE requirements in daily operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) – mandatory.
• Minimum 7 years of HSE experience on transport infrastructure, roads or utilities projects.
• Prior experience with engineering consultants, PMC or supervision consultants.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi regulations, international HSE standards and construction safety practices for highways, utilities and earthworks.
