Project Controls Manager

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead the controls function for a SAR ~7 Billion metro infrastructure project. Reporting to project leadership, the role oversees planning, scheduling, delay analysis, cost control and commercial governance across a multi‑partner consortium.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the consortium‑wide Project Controls strategy, ensuring alignment on schedules, risk mitigation and reporting metrics.
• Manage baseline planning, progress monitoring, earned‑value management and critical‑path analysis using Primavera P6, and lead recovery or acceleration plans when needed.
• Lead forensic delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, disruption claims and Time Impact Analyses to protect contractual interests.
• Oversee budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting, variation order management and commercial risk exposure.
• Conduct quantitative schedule and cost risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare senior‑level dashboards, KPI tracking and reports for the consortium board, client, PMC and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of progressive Project Controls experience on large infrastructure/EPC projects, with proven leadership in metro or railway megaprojects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary Project Controls teams within joint‑venture or consortium environments.
• Deep expertise in forensic delay analysis, EOT claims and contractual dispute resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field; PMP, CCP, PSP or RICS certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced mastery of Primavera P6 for planning and scheduling.
• Experience with Primavera Risk Analysis (Pertmaster) or similar risk software.
• Proficiency in delay‑analysis tools such as Deltek Acumen Fuse.
• Strong knowledge of cost and reporting tools: PRISM, SAP, advanced MS Excel modeling.
• Ability to create visual dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
