Hygiene Officer – Food Safety & Sanitation

About the role

FAENA The Red Sea is seeking a dedicated Hygiene Officer to ensure the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation across our luxury hotel property. You will play a pivotal role in protecting guest health and upholding our brand’s reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards throughout the property.
• Conduct regular hygiene inspections and audits in food preparation and service areas.
• Monitor and maintain HACCP procedures and food safety management systems.
• Coordinate routine microbiological and water quality testing as required.
• Deliver hygiene and food safety training sessions for team members.
• Investigate hygiene‑related incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate hygiene records, reports, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Stewarding, and Food & Beverage teams to sustain top‑tier hygiene standards.
• Support pre‑opening hygiene initiatives, audits, and operational readiness activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Food Safety, Hospitality Management, Environmental Health, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Hygiene Officer or Food Safety role, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• HACCP certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of local health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
