Hygiene Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Hygiene Officer to ensure the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and sanitation across our luxury hospitality property in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will lead inspections, audits and training, supporting both pre‑opening and operational phases.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards throughout the property.
• Conduct regular hygiene inspections and audits in all food preparation and service areas.
• Monitor and maintain HACCP procedures and food safety management systems.
• Coordinate routine microbiological and water quality testing as required.
• Deliver hygiene and food safety training sessions for team members.
• Investigate hygiene‑related incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate hygiene records, reports and documentation in line with company standards.
• Work closely with Culinary, Stewarding and Food & Beverage teams to uphold hygiene standards.
• Support pre‑opening hygiene initiatives, audits and operational readiness activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Safety, Hospitality Management, Environmental Health or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hygiene or food safety role, preferably within luxury hospitality.
• HACCP certification.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards and sanitation practices.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
