ICT Infrastructure Architect (Aviation Experience)

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm active in the Middle East, is hiring an ICT Infrastructure Architect in Riyadh. The role reviews, coordinates and supervises the implementation of ICT infrastructure and systems across the project, covering design review, technical coordination, site supervision, quality assurance and compliance with project requirements, standards and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimization of ICT infrastructure solutions and review high-level architectural designs, including data center modernization.
• Support implementation and integration of network, data center and ICT systems, and supervise installation, testing and commissioning at site.
• Review technical submissions, shop drawings, method statements, material submittals and equipment proposals.
• Coordinate with the contractor, designer, client and other disciplines, and resolve technical and interface issues.
• Monitor site activities, conduct inspections, identify non-conformances and report progress and corrective actions.
• Define ICT architecture principles, governance and resilience strategies for Tier III/Tier IV data centers, cloud infrastructure and disaster recovery, and integrate ICT with airport operational systems.
• Ensure cybersecurity, data protection and regulatory compliance are embedded in the design, and own technical risk identification and escalation.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records and progress reports, and build trusted relationships with airport executives, regulators and technology partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electronics and electrical communication engineering, computer and systems engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, network infrastructure, data centers, SAS and ICT systems.
• Professional engineering registration with a recognized engineering body.
• Proven experience in design review, technical coordination and site supervision of IT infrastructure projects.
• Significant experience in large, complex technology programs in the aviation, airport or transport/critical infrastructure sector.
• Strong written and verbal English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Data center design, Tier classifications and physical security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection).
• Cybersecurity principles, network segregation, IT/OT separation and secure ICT design.
• Knowledge of IATA, ICAO and other airport standards, and of OT, SCADA, IoT and building-management integration.
• Experience from concept design through IFC, shop drawings, as-built, testing, commissioning and handover.
• PMP certification and architecture/security certifications are a plus.
