ICU Specialist (Intensive Care Unit)

About the role

The ICU Specialist provides patient care within granted privileges, following Fakeeh Care policies and clinical standards. The role involves direct patient interaction, documentation, education, and collaboration with attending physicians in a high‑stress intensive care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care according to granted privileges, institutional policies, and established standards of care.
• Document all clinical activities in compliance with Fakeeh Care documentation procedures.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures, coordinating with attending physicians.
• Perform or assist with medical and surgical procedures within the scope of granted privileges.
• Provide requested medical reports promptly, following the organization’s format.
• Participate in departmental meetings, scientific activities, and the training of junior staff.
• Adhere to safety protocols, maintain confidentiality, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Comply with Fakeeh Care’s code of conduct, mandatory education requirements, and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Board/Fellowship/Master level training in the relevant specialty from a recognized medical center.
• Licensure to practice as required by the Saudi health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS/DHA) and current BLS certification.
• Relevant clinical experience in intensive care settings as stipulated by regional health regulations.

Required skills

• Microsoft computer skills (e.g., Office suite).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
