Industrial Electrical, Electronics & Automation Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Al-Amal Plastic Manufacturing Company seeks an experienced Industrial Electrical, Electronics & Automation Maintenance Engineer to join its Jeddah plant. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing modern industrial machinery used in plastic manufacturing, printing and packaging.

Key responsibilities

• Systematically troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, electronic, PLC, servo, inverter, sensor and control‑system faults.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery such as blown film, flexographic printing, bag making, extruders and other packaging equipment.
• Support shift and emergency maintenance, responding quickly to breakdowns.
• Communicate with equipment manufacturers and technical support teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with electrical and industrial safety procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation/Control, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on industrial equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience in plastic manufacturing, printing or packaging industries is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider or similar) and related programming.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• PLC platforms: Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider.
• HMI and touch‑screen interfaces.
• VFDs / Inverters, AC & DC drives.
• Servo motors, servo drives and motion‑control systems.
• Industrial sensors: proximity, photoelectric, temperature, pressure, encoders, resolvers.
• Temperature controllers, PID control loops.
• Electrical control panels, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, power supplies.
• PCB and electronic board fault diagnosis.
• Industrial communication protocols: Modbus, Profibus/Profinet, Ethernet/IP.
• Diagnostic equipment: multimeters, clamp meters, oscilloscopes.
