Information Technology Officer

About the role

Med Surg Solutions is seeking an Information Technology Officer to keep its IT systems running smoothly and support the technology needs of the business and its employees across the GCC region. The role focuses on maintaining reliable infrastructure, providing end‑user support, and ensuring security and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues to end‑users.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, and Wi‑Fi.
• Monitor system performance, apply updates, and minimize downtime.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Manage user accounts, licenses, and security policies.
• Support ERP systems, with Odoo knowledge considered a plus.
• Maintain data backups, disaster recovery processes, and ensure compliance with IT security standards.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement and external support.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with ERP, Microsoft 365, networking, and troubleshooting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Active Directory.
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches, Wi‑Fi).
• Familiarity with cloud services such as Azure.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and IT security.
• Experience with ERP systems; Odoo is a plus.
• Data backup and disaster recovery procedures.
