About the role

This role focuses on the lifecycle management, performance tuning, and automation of operating‑system processes to ensure stability and high availability. The position emphasizes automation, security hardening, and continuous optimization across Linux, AIX, and container platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Advanced Linux OS internals and kernel tuning.
• Design, deploy, and manage AIX servers on pSeries architecture, including LPARs, VIO servers, and PowerVM environments.
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, Puppet or similar tools.
• Implement and support virtualization technologies such as KVM and VMware in hybrid infrastructures.
• Apply CIS hardening, log forwarding, and SIEM integration; ensure compliance with security standards and OS‑level auditing.
• Set up and manage centralized Linux management tools (RedHat Satellite, SUSE Manager) and patch processes.
• Operate container runtimes and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift); manage Helm charts, image pipelines, and ingress configurations.
• Implement role‑based access control, security configurations, and persistent storage in container platforms.
• Assist with CI/CD integration, environment automation, and monitor container performance using Prometheus/Grafana.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 + years of relevant industry experience, including at least 2 years in a similar infrastructure role.
• Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis and data analysis.
• Continuous learner who stays current with emerging technologies.
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications (AIX, Linux, Container) are a plus.
