Inspector – QA/QC Welding

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Welding QA/QC Inspector to ensure all welding activities comply with approved procedures, drawings, specifications and relevant codes. You will work closely with construction teams, welding supervisors and third‑party inspectors to maintain high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect welding joints, fit‑up, root gap, bevel angle and pre‑welding conditions against WPS, drawings and project specifications.
• Monitor welding parameters such as pre‑heat, amperage, voltage, travel speed and verify welder qualifications and WPS/PQR validity.
• Perform visual inspection of completed welds, identify defects and document findings.
• Coordinate and review NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) and ensure repair work is properly inspected and retested.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, weld maps, NCRs, punch lists and QA/QC records.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of experience in welding inspection, equipment maintenance and quality inspection.
• Familiarity with standards such as ASME, AWS, API, ISO and project‑specific requirements.
