Interim Legal General Counsel - Saudi Arabia (3 Months)

About the role

Eram Talent is seeking an elite Legal General Counsel for an immediate 3-month short-term engagement in Saudi Arabia. The interim Legal General Counsel leads and drives the Legal function, protects commercial and legal interests, ensures operational continuity and steers regulatory and strategic governance in line with Kingdom laws. The work location is onsite in Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, direct and mentor the legal team, partner with executive leadership and the Board, and turn corporate strategy into legal objectives and deliverables.
• Ensure corporate governance, including entity documents, resolutions, consents and filings.
• Advise the CEO, Board and executives on legal rights, statutory compliance and commercial risk, and conduct risk analyses.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including customer/supplier, logistics, procurement and IT contracts, and standardise contract templates.
• Monitor KSA regulatory developments affecting procurement and logistics and advise management on adaptations.
• Represent the organisation before Saudi government bodies, regulators and trade associations, and produce administrative and legal reports for management.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LL.M.) or equivalent from an internationally recognised law school; LL.M. from a top UK or US school and/or KSA Bar certification highly preferred.
• Licensed to practice law by the Saudi Ministry of Justice (KSA Bar / judicial license).
• 16+ years of post-qualification experience giving high-level legal counsel in a corporate, top-tier law firm, government or private consultancy in Saudi Arabia.
• Immediate availability or minimal notice period.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of KSA corporate law, commercial litigation, regulatory compliance and contract negotiation.
• Strong preference for expertise in supply chain, logistics or procurement.
