Intern Data Engineer

About the role

Tabby is looking for a motivated Intern Data Engineer to join its Data Platform & ML team in Saudi Arabia. You will work on real production data pipelines, analytical models and data quality initiatives that power the company’s financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain analytical data models using SQL.
• Build and support SQL‑based data transformations and pipelines.
• Contribute to data quality checks, validation logic and root‑cause analysis of data issues.
• Help create and sustain data products used by business and engineering teams.
• Work with orchestration tools to schedule and monitor data workflows.
• Participate in discussions on data modelling, metrics and definitions.
• Improve reliability and cost efficiency of data processing.

Required profile

• Strong fundamentals in SQL.
• Good working knowledge of Python for data processing.
• Understanding of relational data models and basic data modelling concepts.
• Ability to read, understand and modify existing data pipelines or models.
• Experience with Git and standard development workflows.
• Structured thinking with attention to data correctness.
• English sufficient for documentation and team communication.
